These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of the Kalpinota website (kalpinota.com), and to enquiries, reservations and event registrations made through it. By using our website or registering for an event, you agree to these terms. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable Australian law.
Our restaurant services
Kalpinota is a modern Asian-fusion restaurant located in the Brisbane CBD. We provide dining, drinks and a programme of occasional evening events.
Website information
We aim to keep the information on our website accurate and up to date, but it is provided for general information only. Menus, dishes, drinks, events and pricing may change without notice.
Menu information
Menu items and descriptions are indicative. Availability depends on the day, the season and supply, and some dishes may not always be available.
Prices and currency
All prices are shown in Australian dollars (AUD, A$) and, where applicable, include GST unless stated otherwise. Prices may change from time to time.
Restaurant enquiries
Enquiries submitted through our contact form are handled by our team, who will respond as soon as reasonably possible. Submitting an enquiry does not create a binding reservation unless we confirm it.
Event information
Our events are offered as part of a wider restaurant programme. Details such as dates, times, formats, inclusions and pricing are published in good faith and may change.
Event registration
To register for an event, you may complete the registration form on our Events & Evenings page. Submitting the form is a request to register or reserve a place.
Registration confirmation
Submitting a registration form does not automatically confirm your place. A registration is confirmed only once we have contacted you to confirm availability. Confirmation is subject to availability, event capacity and our confirmation.
Event capacity
Some events have limited capacity. Where an event is full, we may be unable to accommodate a registration and will let you know where possible.
Paid and free events
Our programme includes both free evenings, where you order from the menu as usual, and paid events. Any applicable price and inclusions are set out in the event details.
Event participation fees
Where an event has a participation fee, that fee covers hospitality and event organisation, such as reserved seating, a welcome drink, a sharing plate or the running of the evening. Participation fees are not gambling stakes, wagers or buy-ins, and do not entitle any participant to a cash prize.
Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds
If you need to cancel or change a booking, please let us know as early as possible. We may need to cancel or reschedule an event due to circumstances beyond our control; in that case, we will contact you and, where appropriate, offer an alternative date or a refund of any applicable fee. Refund arrangements for paid events will be handled fairly and in line with your rights under applicable Australian consumer law.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that applies under the Australian Consumer Law and cannot lawfully be excluded.
Guest responsibilities and venue conduct
We ask all guests to behave respectfully towards our team and other guests. We may refuse service or ask a guest to leave where conduct is unreasonable, unsafe or unlawful. As a licensed venue, we serve alcohol responsibly and may decline service in line with responsible service of alcohol requirements.
Food, drink and allergen information
We prepare food in a shared kitchen and cannot guarantee that any dish is completely free from specific allergens. Please speak to our team about allergies or dietary requirements before ordering. Any dietary or allergen information we provide is given in good faith to help you choose.
Alcohol
Alcohol is served only to guests of legal drinking age and in line with applicable licensing requirements. We may request proof of age.
Photography and event media
We may occasionally take photographs or video at events for our own promotional purposes. If you would prefer not to appear, please let a team member know and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Intellectual property
The content on this website, including text, images, branding and design, is owned by or licensed to Kalpinota and may not be copied or reused without permission, except as allowed by law.
Privacy
We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Website availability
We aim to keep the website available and working well, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access and may suspend or update it at any time.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, and subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, Kalpinota is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our website, our services or our events.
Force majeure

We may update our events, our website and these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page.
Kalpinota, poker-themed social evenings and gambling
To be clear: Kalpinota is primarily a modern Asian-fusion restaurant. Poker-themed social evenings, where offered, are occasional, entertainment-only events within a wider restaurant programme. This website does not provide online poker or real-money gambling services. Kalpinota does not operate a casino or gambling establishment, and nothing on this website should be read as offering gambling services or claiming a gambling licence.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you agree to the jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
